![]() ![]() The station will surrender its Pre-Igniter when it's low on hull or crew-killed, but it will be completely lost if the ship is destroyed. Players can either pay 30 scrap to the smugglers, pay 50 scrap to the smugglers and get a small number of bonus resources, or fight the station. The Proto Pre-Igniter is guarded by a Smuggler Station and is thankfully trivial to acquire. This part of the FTL Multiverse quest is not necessary if players already happen to have a Pre-Igniter on hand. Getting The Proto Pre-Igniter In FTL Multiverse ![]() This fight does not have to be completed to proceed players can either fight it out or flee at the soonest opportunity. Of course, as players might imagine, grave-digging isn't appreciated by the Federation Soldiers inhabiting the beacon, so a fight will initiate with a Federation Elite. While not everyone will remember who was buried with the Gatling Base, the event on Earth explained that it was buried with its creator, Jackson Newman. The Gatling Base is significantly more straightforward to acquire in FTL Multiverse, provided players paid attention while exploring Earth earlier to get it, players must dig up the grave of the soldier that was buried with the Gatling Base. Getting The Gatling Base In FTL Multiverse After successfully defeating all of the crew onboard, players will get the Gatling Barrel. The best way to handle this ship is to disable its ability to jump somehow and either use Anti-Bio weapons to eliminate the crew, or slowly whittle the crew down with any capable crew or drones. As this ship is manned by Suzerain Mantis, crew-killing it will not be an easy task direct crew combat isn't advised as Suzerains will win against most crew in a normal battle, but healing can provide the edge needed to win. The only way to get the "Spinny Stick" from the Mantis will be to kill all of the crew on their ship destroying the ship or letting it FTL jump away will both result in the Gatling Barrel being lost permanently. The Gatling Barrel is guarded by a particularly stubborn Mantis, who will refuse to give it away. Getting The Gatling Barrel In FTL Multiverse ![]() With that information on hand, the quest for the Gatling Gun can begin by going to the newly generated quest beacons. Should players already happen to have their own Pre-Igniter, they will not need to gather another. Players will learn the location of three Gatling Gun parts: the barrel, the base, and the Pre-Igniter. The main things to worry about is while you are using your gating you are very susceptible to damage to its important to have your Party set to Support and the Arfa-Sys to have healing shots. After jumping to the beacon, FTL Multiverse players will have the option of exploring the environment in question and should seize that opportunity. If accuracy is a concern there is an ability to crouch to increase certain stats which might be worth it but yoy will be highly vulnerable while using it. Your gatling gun will mainly have Dps skills on it (Yet again i dont play Gatling Guns so im not sure of which there is to choose from) With the exception of the cooling shot and you should switch between positioning with your secondary before deal burst damage with your gatling gun. Leave buffing skills for a secondary weapon, Attack is a must have, But you could choose between speed (Forgive me if thats not a skill its been a while since I've checked) and Defense, You could choose both but I keep 2 slots of the auto dodge and healing field In PVE any build is viable, That being said im no expert in this play style so the only tips i could give are ![]()
